Sub-Part C, the final phase of the Lake Tahoe management unit Travel Management Rule, where winter motorized use is analyzed and the added to the final document pertaining to “Travel Management”, is under way.
The LTMU has begun a collaborative process that will allow the stakeholders to participate and then analyze the relevant data that will ultimately lead to the final decision. ORBA staff, along with AMA National and AMA District 36, CNSA, and the Western Chapter of Snowmobile Associations will be taking part in the first meeting on February 1, 2014. Our participation is key to laying the groundwork necessary for this complicated process to be being successful.
ORBA has been successful being part of a collaborative meeting process in the recent past with relation to the Tahoe National Forest winter use conflict issue. We expect to see similar results as this effort moves forward.
