ATTENTION DUNES ENTHUSIASTS

ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH OHV OPPORTUNITIES AT THE IMPERIAL SAND DUNES RECREATION AREA (GLAMIS)? ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE WAY THAT YOUR FEE MONEY IS BEING SPENT THERE? HERE'S AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS YOUR SATISFACTION/CONCERNS TO THE BLM—THE AGENCY THAT MANAGES THE ISDRA.

The California Desert District Advisory Council (DAC), whose members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, will be meeting in El Centro, California to review the status of the closures, the associated lawsuits, and the proposed new management plan for the ISDRA.

The event includes a sand rail tour of the dunes on Friday, March 31st and a formal Council meeting—open to the public—on Saturday, April 1st from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Conference Rooms A, B, and C in the CalWorks Building within the Imperial County Center II Complex located at 2895 South 4th Street in El Centro. A public comment period will be included during Saturday's meeting.

Council members and BLM officials will be staying at the Best Western John Jay Inn, located at 2352 South 4th Street and the dunes tour on Friday will leave from the parking lot there at 8:00 a.m. The public is welcome to participate in the tour but must provide its own transportation and lunch.

Many California legislators have been invited to this important meeting.
